FREE Fruit Day returned to Reigate on Saturday, with about 200 kilos of apples, pears and quinces given away to shoppers.The annual initiative is run by Transition Redhill and community gardening group Growing Redhill.Members were in the High Street on Saturday to redistribute unwanted or unneeded fruit harvested from local trees, and to encourage people to not let garden produce go to waste.Chairman of Growing Redhill, Debbie Fox, was delighted with the contributions.She said: "In total...
