A SECOND World War RAF fighter based at Redhill Aerodrome which crashed in 1940 killing the two-man crew, is to have its own memorial.To mark the 75th anniversary of the tragedy, the cockpit of a Bristol Beaufighter Mk1f has been restored by the Wings Museum, which was previously at Redhill Aerodrome and is now in Balcombe, Sussex.The plane is the same type and model as the one that crashed on October 30, 1940 after hitting trees on high ground at Balcombe Place .The museum recently took...
