A WAITROSE could be built on Reigate's Town Hall site.
A proposal to build a retail unit with 23 flats above it on part of the site's car park in Castlefield Road has been approved.
Reigate and Banstead Borough Council claims to have found a "national retailer" interested in opening a store, but is currently prevented from doing so by a "lack of suitable units".
Although it has not divulged the retailer's identity, the Mirror understands Waitrose wants the spot.
