MORE than £250,000 has been paid out to police officers and civilian staff in compensation for work place injuries.Since 2008, claims have been made for everything from slips and falls to being injured on training exercises or being electrocuted by a vending machine.The figures, given to the Mirror after a Freedom of Information request, show that £271,207.14 has been paid in relation to 46 workplace injury claims over the past seven years.The biggest was made in December 2011,...
