CRYSTAL Palace are set to battle it out with Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United in the race to sign Hull City defender James Chester.
According to reports in national media, Palace have reportedly joined the chase for the centre-back, who could be tempted away from the KC Stadium following Hull's relegation last season.
It is understood, however, that the Tigers would want around £8m for the 26-year-old.
